SUMMIT HOLIDAY CONCERT INFO:

Our Holiday concert is quickly approaching and I wanted to get some details out about extra rehearsals and performances so you can put them on your calendar and plan for your students to be there. 

Extra Rehearsals: DECEMBER THU/FRI, 3rd & 4th

            WED/THU Musical Theater 9:30-10:30, THUR, DEC. 3

High School Choir- 10:30-11:30, FRI, DEC. 4

            Elementary Choir- 1:15-2:15, FRI, DEC. 4

            Middle School Choir – 2:15-3:15, FRI, DEC. 4

Dress Rehearsals: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9th

            WED/THU Musical Theater- 9:30-10:30am

(Any high school choir students that can come from 10:30-11:30 Wednesday during class, please do)

WED World Percussion- 12:15-1:15 (during WED. class time)

ALL Elementary Choir- 1:15-2:15pm (during WED. class time)

ALL Middle School Choir- 2:15-4:00pm

            ALL High School Choir- 3:15-5:15pm

            TH World Percussion-4:45-5:45pm, FRI World Percussion- 5:15-6:15

            FRI Musical Theater- 6:30-7:30pm

PERFORMANCES are on the evening of DECEMBER 10^th  

THERE ARE A FEW TIME ADJUSTMENTS SO PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

FIRST PERFORMANCE-5:45-7:00pm:  (please meet in the green room at 5:15pm)

WE/TH/FR Elementary Choir, 

WED. World Percussion & 

WED./THU. Musical Theater

SECOND PERFORMANCE- 7:30-9:00pm: (please meet in the green room at 7:00pm)

WE/TH/FR Middle School and High School Choir, 

THU./FRI. World Percussion & 

FRI. Musical Theater

REMEMBER:  Dress Rehearsals and Performances are mandatory and are count as a quarter of your grade.

Concert Attire:

Elementary Choir- Black Pants/socks/shoes & a Solid Red Shirt

Middle School Choir- ALL STUDENTS: Black Pants/socks/shoes, GIRLS: a Solid Red Shirt, GUYS: A Solid White Shirt and a Summit will provide red bow ties for the boys.

High School Choir- ALL STUDENTS: Black Pants/socks/shoes GIRLS: A Solid Black Shirt, GUYS: A Solid White Shirt;    Summit will provide Red Vests for all High School Students

**Concert Attire must be in dress code

SUMMER'S ALREADY OVER?!?!

Hello again SUMMIT ACADEMY students and families.  I can't believe we are entering into the 2015-2016 school year already.  I am thrilled to start another new year with you all.  I am so excited to see names on my rosters of those students who are returning to my music classes for the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time as well as names of new students who I have yet to meet.

We have some fun music to learn this year and this blog is the most important resource you will use in my classes.  PLEASE familiarize yourself with it, bookmark it and look for new videos, recordings and information each and every week.  I look forward to rehearsing with you all this year.

Important Spring Concert Rehearsal and Performance Info Below:

Here are the extra rehearsal and performance info that should be on your calendar:
Thur. 4/9 -12:30-3:00 Middle & High School Choir Rehearsal

April 29, 30 & May 1-All students attend class time at least one extra day in addition to their normal class time this week.
3rd Period (10:30-11:30) - High School Choir
4th Period (12:15-1:15) - World Percussion
5th Period (1:15-2:15) - Elementary Choir
6th Period (2:15-3:15) - Middle School Choir

Tuesday, May 5th-
Elementary Choir Rehearse at D.L. Parsons Theater from 2:15-3:45.
ALL Middle School & High School Choir & Percussion students from 3:15-6:30
Elementary choir must return at 6:30...Doors open at 6:30 performance time 7:00-8:30.
Wednesday, May 6th-
ALL students will also perform Wednesday evening as well but there are no rehearsals that day. students just need to arrive at the theater at 6:20 for warm-ups. The performance will be at 7:00pm.

PLEASE CONTINUE PRACTICING WITH THE BLOG THIS WEEK SO ALL OF OUR FUTURE REHEARSAL CAN BE AS PRODUCTIVE AS POSSIBLE.

Concert Attire: ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR BLACK PANTS & BLACK SOCK/SHOES
Elementary Choir- solid blue or pink shirt (no print or picture on front please)

Middle School Choir- black shirt (Summit will provide a pink sash for the girls and pink bow tie for the boys)

High School Choir- Black t-shirt for the girls, white collared dress shirt for the guys. (Summit will provide a blue sequence tank top for girls and a blue sequence vest and bow tie for the guys)

World Percussion- Your colors should be black, pink & blue.
